Building Resilient Teams for a Changing World

Belbin is delighted to be returning to support this year’s Festival of Learning & Development, as part of our long-standing relationship with the Staff Development Forum. The festival brings together learning, organisational development and people professionals from across the sector.

Belbin has always valued and enjoyed the opportunity to attend, contribute to, and chair sessions at the festival. From engaging keynotes to practical workshops, the event consistently offers new perspectives and ideas, and we invariably learn something new from the conversations and experiences shared.

This year’s focus on human-centred leadership, leading change, breaking down silos and building organisational influence in an increasingly complex and digital world aligns closely with Belbin’s commitment to helping organisations understand how people contribute most effectively – both as individuals and as part of high-performing teams.

At the outset of the programme, Belbin’s Managing Director, Jo Keeler, will deliver a workshop exploring resilience through the practical application of the Belbin Team Roles framework, demonstrating how teams can develop stronger collaboration and improved performance in the face of change and uncertainty.

Higher education institutions continue to navigate significant challenges, from hybrid working and digital transformation to financial pressures and evolving expectations. Resilience is not simply an individual capacity but a team capability, and we look forward to sharing practical insights that will help delegates build teams that are adaptable and well-equipped to thrive under pressure.

We are proud to continue our support of the SDF and its valuable work in fostering learning and development across the sector. We look forward to engaging with delegates, contributing to important conversations, and enabling organisations to unlock the full potential of their people and teams.
