I believe that one of the defining features of working in professional development is an innate sense of curiosity: for how people work, how they think, how something can be improved.
For me, there’s a constant thirst for ideas and perspectives that help me create new experiences or recall great ideas I’ve used before but haven’t dusted off for a while. The thing is, it takes a spark of inspiration, a moment away from emails or just a place to clear my head, to arrive here.
So last year, I and my colleagues at Invisible Grail, began to pool our favourite resources together to create an aide-memoire. We set about capturing all the things that inspire us, the facilitation techniques we share through our work, articles, videos and podcasts that help keep our focus on the horizon and our perspective wide.
This is our new Resource Hub, free for everyone to use, enjoy and share if you find it helpful. We’ll be updating it regularly, offering new facilitation techniques, reading and resources to help you find inspiration for your own leadership and ignite it in others.
From tips on creative ways to lead online meetings that we use on our own programmes, questions to help think through making decisions, techniques for feedback conversations, to a template for creating a leadership manifesto, there’s a wide range of ideas for you to try out and see if they are a fit for you and your colleagues.
