The Staff Development Forum is delighted to announce two exciting awards for 2024 that reflect the Festival of Learning and Development’s overarching theme of ‘Transform, Empower and Balance: Moving towards an adaptive mindset in times of disruption’.
The first award is the Developing Excellent Practice Award – Initiative of the Year, which is developed in partnership with Advance HE. This award recognises and celebrates the best staff development initiatives of the year that have made a positive impact on individuals, teams or organisations. We encourage submissions from teams or individuals that have led innovative and effective initiatives in any area of staff development. The shortlisted submissions will be invited to be part of Advance HE’s case studies, showcasing good practice and inspiring others in the sector.
The second award is the Women-Space Leadership Award, in partnership with Women-Space. This award acknowledges and rewards the outstanding leadership of women across different grades in promoting gender equality in professional and academic positions. It recognises colleagues who play a role at different stages of their careers, including management and leadership positions. The award aims to encourage more women to embody their own leadership styles, increase awareness of the capabilities and successes of women leaders, and raise awareness of women’s own power. The award will be presented and celebrated at the SDF Festival, providing a platform to showcase the award to a diverse audience.
If you are interested in applying for either of these awards, or nominating a colleague or a team, please visit the SDF website for more information on the eligibility criteria, nomination process and selection methodology. Award Submissions will be opened early September 2024.
Watch this space for this opportunity to celebrate your achievements and share your stories with the staff development community!
