Cindy Vallance Bio

Cindy is Assistant Director, Knowledge, Innovation and Delivery at Advance HE where she works with colleagues in the creation of thought leadership, programmes and consultancy to support the higher education community. Cindy has held senior leadership roles at universities in the UK and Canada including University of Cambridge, University of Kent and University of Victoria. Her specialist areas are organisational development, leadership facilitation and coaching, equality, diversity and inclusivity, and research and enterprise management.

 

Prior to working in HE, Cindy worked for fifteen years in the not-for-profit and commercial sectors including roles leading change as Chief Executive for an arts organisation and developing staff as Capabilities Lead for a global professional services consultancy. Cindy has been an arts sector board member and holds two first class university degrees: a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Emily Carr University of Arts and Design) and a MBA (University of Victoria) that have supported her goal as a life-long learner to combine creative and analytical theory and practice. Cindy is also an executive coach currently studying systems-psychodynamic coaching at the Tavistock Institute and is a member of the EMCC. Outside of work, Cindy can often be found exploring her Métis ancestry and culture.
