Thank you for being part of the Staff Development Forum and, if you were able to, thank you for joining the SDF Festival of Learning and Development. What a festival it was!
It was great to meet so many of you, hear new ideas and start important discussions. Whether you joined the Festival virtually or watch the recorded sessions, we want to keep these discussions going so please do continue to share and inspire each other via the SDF Jiscmail.
We launched the Festival in its current format in 2020 in response to the pandemic with the aim of bringing people together and showcasing all that the SDF has to offer while facilitating sessions delivered by the SDF keynotes, partners and members.
Colleagues have been asking about the Festival resources. AHE Connect is the place where the SDF uploads the Festival resources since 2020.
You will need an account on Advance HE Connect to access the resources. Once you have created your Advance HE Connect account, and are successfully logged in, you will be able to access the festival resources. Information provided by National SDF Jiscmail.
All Festival keynotes and sessions were excellent and highly recommended. If you are struggling with time, we would like to encourage you to watch the recordings of keynote speakers: Donald Taylor, Fiona Lennoxsmith, Sarah Hubbard, Hank Williams and Elliot Spaeth.
This year we continued delivering support to our members via our Special Interest Groups and offered the following workshops. Resources when provided have been made available in SDF space in AHE Connect.
- Demystifying Menopause
- Equality vs Equity
- Coaching with Collage
- Coaching for hybrid team leadership
- Running in-house Coaching programmes
- Re-launch of Active Learning Special Interest Group
Please invite like minded professionals working in the Higher Education sector to join the SDF and share our resources with anyone in that group you think would be interested in seeing them.
Thank you again for taking part in our SDF community, being part of our SDF Festival, helping us to fulfil our mission to enable people and networks to develop and flourish.
Best wishes,
Ross Espinoza
