Michael Monaghan – Bio

m.monghanMichael is a proactive learning and development practitioner with an MA in Advanced Educational Practice: Teaching and Learning. Michael has worked at LJMU for over twelve years in various learning and development related roles and is currently a Leadership and Development Adviser for LJMU’s contemporary Leadership and Development Foundation. Michael is part of the SDF Executive Team and is Chair of the new Active Learning Special Interest Group. Michael is a Fellow of the AUA and HEA and is also an AUA Accreditation Reviewer. Michael delivers development sessions and programmes to large and small groups, performs 1:1 coaching and mentoring for staff and provides individualised development consultancy for managers. Michael leads a number of strategic OD projects for LJMU, including LJMU’s Apprenticeship Levy Strategy. Michael was awarded AUA Member of the Year 2017 and 2019 for his extensive and innovative work with the AUA CPD Framework within his institution and nationally, creating an experiential accreditation programme and several learning resources.
