The SDF is pleased to welcome new Regional Co-chairs – Janet Milne and Chris Jones.
Janet Milne – Organisation and Staff Development (OSD) Scotland
At University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), Janet provides learning and development advice and guidance to departments and individuals. She has developed and delivers both the 1st Line Leadership Programme and the Professional Services Development Programme; she also delivers on Leading for Strategic Outcomes. Janet has developed and delivered many of the development sessions on the general training programme, and provides bespoke Organisation Development interventions to departments.
Chris Jones – North West Staff Developers Group
Chris is an ex-Manchester Met student – albeit 30 years ago – with a background in training design/delivery and L&D in most roles from administration via service centres to budget holder in general for the likes of Network Rail, Engie/Balfour Beatty Workplace and Great Places. All this via a route that also included work in art galleries, retail and offices
His current role at MMU, as a People Development Specialist, encourages him to use all these skills in vastly different ways, from design and delivery of specific interventions to entire programmes and supporting the wider team with resource design.
