MPDG – Introduction to Higher Education

Target Audience: For individuals who have been recently appointed to management, professional and administrative positions within HE.

Objectives:

Develop your knowledge and understanding of the Scottish Higher Education sector and explore its core business of teaching, research and enterprise from the people delivering these agendas
Increase awareness of current issues and challenges facing the sector and exchange ideas with counterparts in other universities
Understand the process of planning and decision making within a University framework
Reflect upon awareness of strategy within your own University and develop some questions to take back
Develop a valuable network of contacts within the sector
